Weirdly they both seemed to work perfectly for a couple weeks (as I followed instructions on the manual to get them to connect as a keyboard), but one day just spontaneously would only connect as controllers no matter what settings or techniques I tried. When I connect and it shows up as a controller, i don’t think it connects a keyboard and therefore doesn’t respond to my button pressings. However, one major problem I’m having is my controllers (I literally bought another bc the first stopped working lol) seem to revert back to connecting as a controller (the icon under Bluetooth preference changes from the keyboard to the controller icon). I can even go on moderate treadmill runs and blaze through 300-400 cards which is incredible for my productivity. I recently got the 8BitDo Zero 2 off Amazon for my MacBook Pro (mapping w Karabiner elements) and I think it adds incredible ergonomics to the Anki workflow.
